PROCESS JOURNAL
Day 2

i don’t know how to make a html code and dream weaver is very advanced so i used webs dot com. I registered myself, made an account and chose the background i wanted which was very pretty I must say, black is a contrast color. After that I made a domain name for my website which was very easy as I just used the title so that it relates. Even though my website won’t end up as expected i still think that it will become a nice thing by the looks of it. For my homepage I have a green title, I inserted slideshows with pictures from different perspectives of the website but there was a barrier as the internet was very slow when making the slideshows. I had to look for quotes and when I was arranging my photos I couldn’t find the way to order the photos and make captions and it was really devastating. As I was doing my domain name I realized that my domain name wasn’t what i would like it to be but there was no way I could change it so that was that. Another difficulty was that I couldn’t make a flash banner so this went against my design specs. Lastly I added the pages i needed, a contact us page and customized mine according to my designs. I finished my homepage!!!!

DAY  3
Since i can’t make a site map and there is a menu bar at the top that provides links to all the pages, I preferred it stay like that because that’s what the website builder provides for me. Plus on the site the contact form was already there so i just added a picture to make it not look so plain. By far this was the easiest day ever!!!
Day 4

Just realized its easier to make a blog and by good luck i had chosen the template for a blog on the site builder so instead of having three pages of information i can just put the different titles as entries on the blog. This led to me deleting the other two pages of news as now I only need one. I couldn’t pick the font I wanted but it’s cool because the main thing about typography is that it is visible to the audience. Since I had already typed out my research I thought it would be easier to copy paste it on the site but it refused, I think because the information was too much by eventually it did when I copy pasted in bits. After I copy pasted, it had errors but the website builder doesn’t have autocorrect so I had to paste the paragraphs on word, edit, then paste them back on the website builder. I will benefit from a blog not a website because my own blog allows me to not be serious and express my emotions about the topic too but the little space forces me to do quite a number of entries. Halfway through my work I thought that what I was doing wasn’t correct so I decided to check out other blogs on the same topic and it was actually correct. I’m thinking of changing my background but that will require me to change so many things on my settings so that they contrast so for now I wont.
 Day 5
Today was easy, putting the pictures mostly. But when it came to making a title for that entry is that I can’t modify the font so I just had to do with what they gave me, it was devastating because it would affect the aesthetics I had planned for my site. My paragraphs’ font was green and I thought that was too much so I changed it to white as that makes my blog look less forced. I got a photo from MUN with the girl child, all this made me love the whole thing due to the fact that today’s entry allowed me to voice out my thoughts and that is significant as it allows me to be myself. By the end of today I had accomplished a lot but the fact that I couldn’t insert slideshows on that page was mood degrading but it’s co ol. I’m glad everything else went well.
Day 6
Today was easy because it was just the rights that I had to state for today’s entry and I had them from investigate stage so all I had to do was copy and paste. I picked a photo of diplomats at the model united nation conference because I thought it would go well with the topic and it did. Everything went smooth today as expected and i had no problems at all at all. But myself I thought the font was too big so I put my work in paragraph form so that it looked neater and not oversized and squished because either was a lot of information.  But to do that I have to edit and since the text box is white and the font is white I had to change the color of the font, edit, change it back to white and publish the post. That didn’t prove that much of a challenge so it was ok.
day 7

My second last page required a photo gallery so I decided to pick all the photos and put them in a file so that when uploading them, it would make the task easier as I could do all of them at once. Plus this would be easier as I was just going to make one album so I didn’t need that many photos. The pictures were taking ages to load so i decided to do my feedback page while i wait for them to load. The feedback page was hard to make but then I realized that the fact a contact us page allows the viewer to comment and for me to get back to them personally instead of them trying to reach me with my personal information. To them this is significant because me providing my details may be dangerous as not every viewer is a well-wisher.  So I removed the feedback page because of the presence of the contact us page.  When my photos had loaded I didn’t give them titles and captions as I thought that the title of the album says everything. I then realized that one can view my images using a slideshow and it is so cool because it adds aesthetics to the page. I then asked a peer to go through my website for any errors before I published it and the font issues again, we had to change it to black, edit then change it back but it was worth it!! I am done with my website!!! I published it and shared it on Facebook!!! I must say this was an interesting experience.
